Disaster Recovery Loans Available

Disaster Recovery Loans Available

Officials with the U.S. Small Business Administration have released notice (http://www.adn.com/2012/11/22/2701102/sba-says-loans-available-after.html) that low interest federal disaster recovery loans are available to Cook Inlet fishermen due to the federal disaster declaration associated with the poor Chinook runs this year. The Small Business Development Center located at the Red Diamond Center (Suite 12) on Kalifornsky Beach Road is supplying applications and assistance in filling them out. Call 907-260-5629 or stop by and talk to Bunny Kishaba any time. Please note that the Small Business Development Center will be closed Dec. 17 – Jan 2.

Applications are also available on-line at www.sba.gov. Click on “Disaster Recovery Loans” near the bottom of the page. After clicking on “Electronic Loan Application” you will need to create a user account. You will then be guided through the steps to complete your application.

The deadline for submitting a finished application is Aug. 21, 2013.
