Kenai River Festival: Free, Family Fun For Everyone!

The annual Kenai Watershed Forum’s Kenai River Festival will be held atSoldotna Creek Park June 7th through the 9th.  Enjoy three days of fun and inspiration on the banks of the world famous Kenai River with over 20 free hands-on educational activities for children, live music, local art and food vendors and delicious pioneer salmon dinners.  


Run for the River 5K & 10 Mile
This is a combination 5K and 10 Mile walk/run for all ages! Competitive runners as well as casual walkers all enjoy this multiple-turn, looped course that follows along the famous Kenai River. Early registration ends June 5!   


KWF Kid’s Zone

Kenai Watershed Forum’s Kid’s Zone is busting with information and free, fun hands-on family friendly activities. Learn how to protect the river through trivia, arts and crafts, storytelling and activities for all ages. Grab your Passport to Fun card and collect enough stamps for your chance to win an iPad Mini!

Heart-Stopping Harmonies Headline Saturday: The Wailin’ Jennys

The 3-day music filled festival will include a variety of music styles like rock and roll, country, blues, jazz, folk, bluegrass, and more. The Wailin’ Jennys have toured three continents and are enjoying international acclaim as one of today’s most popular folk-roots bands. Boasting a perfect mix of Americana, pop and traditional folk reminiscent of Alison Krauss and the Indigo Girls, the festival is excited to have the Jennys take the stage on Saturday evening to celebrate theKenai River.


Think globally.  Drink locally.  The Kenai River Festival Beer Garden will open on Friday at 5pm and will serve local brews all weekend long.  Thank youKassik’s Brewery and Kenai River Brewing Co. for their generosity, all proceeds from beer sales go toward KWF!  


Pioneer Salmon Dinners
Enjoy the Mullens’ family recipes!  The Kenai River Festival’s famous pioneer salmon dinners include the freshest salmon and homemade rhubarb spice cake. These two pioneer provisions can be enjoyed all weekend long at the Kenai River Festival.  Taste the world famous dinners, fuel your inner pioneer and help protect the pristine rivers and healthy watersheds of the Kenai Peninsula.
